Today I would like to tell you not only about our
natural coffee, but also give an insight into our passion for the craft of coffee roasting. From an early age, I had a great respect for nature and the harmony between humans, animals and plants. I was able to deepen this respect in my biology studies and later, as a trained brewer, I began to discover the subtle nuances of flavour. Working in quality assurance taught me the importance of precision and dedication. Step by step, my path eventually led me to coffee roasting. Today, after all these stages, I realise that it is this special combination of care in production and attention to detail that enables us to present our coffee with pride.

My wife and I have been running our roastery with passion and dedication for seven years now. What drives us is not only the fine flavour of the coffee, but also the deeper meaning behind it. We firmly believe that everyone can discover their very own flavour - but that requires time, attention and a willingness to really engage with coffee. We want to encourage our customers not just to consume, but to experience: Where does the coffee come from? How was it grown and processed? What makes it unique?

It's fascinating how much history there is in every cup of coffee. An old legend from Ethiopia tells of a shepherd called Kaldi who observed his goats eating coffee cherries and suddenly jumping around full of energy. Curious, he tried the cherries himself and experienced the revitalising effect. When he shared this discovery with the monks, however, they carelessly threw the cherries into the fire. But when the aroma of the roasted beans rose up, it aroused their curiosity and they poured water over the crushed beans - this is how the first coffee drink is said to have been created. This story shows us that there is a long journey behind every cup, full of tradition and discoveries.

Our roastery is much more than a profession for us - it is a vocation. Our inner drive, our thirst for knowledge and the urge for perfection accompany us every day in everything we do. This is exactly what was noticed by a TV station that asked us if we wanted to take part in a job swap that didn't work out for family reasons.
