Neumarkt am Wallersee is one of 76 towns that celebrate the Harvest Festival from mid-August to the end of October. The farmers' autumn in Neumarkt is framed by a village decoration at the three entrances to Neumarkt - traditionally with the well-known hay cows Rosi and Resi. Furthermore, the annual Salzburg Seenland Gartenroas where the beekeepers' association presents itself at the Sighartsteinerweiher pond.
Building on a long tradition, the Wallersee pilgrimage in the farmers' autumn at the Seehotel Winkler in Neumarkt, the festive closing service takes place in the Neufahrn branch church in Neumarkt. Afterwards, participants can enjoy the traditional Salzburg pilgrim soup.
"The traditional costume is unpacked" at the traditional Ruperti city festival at the lake. Around 10,000 people visit this every year and fill Neumarkt's main street and celebrate together with the local gastronomy, as well as the associations.
