Born in Mattsee Anton Diabelli (1781- 1858) enjoyed a high reputation in chamber and church music throughout his life. As one of the most important Austrian composers of the musical Biedermeier period, his works continue to inspire us today as part of the Diabelli Summer. Great chamber music, top-class song recitals, groovy jazz and folk music at its best make up the tried and tested Mattseer cocktail in Stiftskirche, fahr(T)raum and Schloss Mattsee.
