Immerse yourself in history
The Bajuwarengehöft in Mattsee invites you to immerse yourself in history and experience the life of the Bajuwaren. This unique open-air museum was set up in 1988 as part of the regional Celtic exhibition and has been freely accessible ever since. It is a popular destination for families and history buffs. The farmstead is located in the idyllically situated Weyer Bay in the middle of the village and impressively illustrates how the Bavarians lived on the Mattsee between 500 and 800 AD.
Place to linger
Weyerbucht is also a place with a wide range of leisure activities. The large playground is a great way for children to let off steam and play.
The Kneipp facility and the barefoot path is an interesting experience where you can feel the different textures under your feet.
The herb and snack garden and view of the castle Mattsee provide a picturesque backdrop to linger and enjoy.
