Wenger Moor
Köstendorf

The Wenger Moor in Köstendorf is one of the largest moor landscapes in the Salzburger Flachgau region.

For young and old, there are fascinating worlds of biotopes to discover here: High mosses, low mosses and transitional mosses; litter meadows and wet meadows that fascinate in every season, merry rippling streams ... and much more. The nature reserve and bird sanctuary Wenger Moor is home to a diverse flora and fauna:  Endangered plant species can survive and thrive here, and for birds the moor is an ideal habitat to build their nests in peace.

The 3 km long theme trail leads along well-maintained farm tracks. It is also passable with a pram and a good introductory hike for children who are already walking.
