Austrian national championship awarded to Trumer Triathlon!
The sporting region of Salzburg can once again look forward to hosting the Austrian national championships for the middle distance triathlon in 2025. On 15 October 2024, the Austrian Triathlon Federation awarded the 2025 Austrian (national) championships for the middle distance including aquabike and the long distance.
The middle distance with a 1.9km swim, 90km bike ride and a half marathon is the flagship event of the Trumer Triathlon. From 18 to 20 July 2025, Obertrum am See will once again offer three days of triathlon sport for the whole family: Seecrossing, kids triathlon, fun and sprint triathlon as well as short and middle distance.
From 18 to 20 July 2025 the region around Obertrum am See is once again in triathlon fever. The Trumer Triathlon is known for its beautiful course in the hilly Salzburg Seenland and the exuberant atmosphere along the route.
There are 7 triathlon competitions to choose from, a triathlon festival for the whole family. For beginners and pros alike, Obertrum am See has everything your heart desires!
Friday offers a gentle warm-up for the triathlon weekend. With the two Seacrossing Compete over 1.4km from Matzing or over 3km from Seeham, cross the Obertrumer See and swim in a beautiful setting.
On the second day of the competition Four exciting competitions on the programme. At the Kids Triathlon presented by Generali, the young triathletes can with different distances Depending on their age group, the children can take part in their first competitions.
The Fun triathlon presented by Raiffeisen offers with its short distances 250 m swim, 12.5 km bike ride and 2.5 km run the ideal introduction to the sport of triathlon.
The Sprint triathlon presented by Trumer Free play with 750 m swim, 25.4 km bike and 5.2 km run is one of the most popular competitions at the Trumer Triathlon weekend and is also possible as a relay competition.
Saturday evening the MeinBezirk.at Charity Run presented by Raiffeisen. The concept of the charity run is very simple: a distance of one kilometre is to be covered as often as possible in 30 minutes, as one euro is donated for each lap. In addition, part of the registration fee goes into the donation pot, which is then topped up again by Raiffeisen Salzburg. The donation will be used to support the Seekirchen association "Rolling Home" and thus young adults in wheelchairs. After the run, the rock cover band "Himmel" will provide a great atmosphere at Trumer Platz. Admission is free!
The Trumer Triathlon ends with the Grand finale of the two supreme disciplines, the short distance and the middle distance.
One particular challenge that many triathletes like to take on is the Short distance with 1.5 km swim, 41.8 km bike ride and 10 km run.
