Mattsee: The starting point of the herb tour is the north car park on the bypass road. The cycle path leads directly into the centre, past the collegiate church to the first stop, the creative garden directly at the Bajuwarengehöft.
We continue to Obertrum am See to the Braugasthof, where in the nearby Trumer Herb Garden typical regional herbs are cultivated. On the way to Seeham, it is worth taking a look over the fence at the Bauerngartl in front of the Schmiedbauernhof, today's municipal office.
After the climb up the Haunsberg, which is rewarded with a fantastic view of the three lakes, you will find - after passing through Berndorf with its lovingly kept Herbal Islands - a small car park with a magnificent view of the Oichtental valley and Michaelbeuern Abbey.
Remarkable in the district of Feichten: the herb garden of a farm with all its diversity.
After a long ride across meadows and fields via Perwang, Palting and Mundenham, the picturesque banks of the Mattsee reappear. From there it's on to Reitsham - via Schalkham the trail then leads back to Mattsee.
We will be happy to send you our cycling map by post.
