"Once lived in paradise" by Carl Zuckmayer puts it in a nutshell: you will spend an unforgettable holiday with us.
Founded in 2009, the Literaturhaus Henndorf is considered the only rural literature house in a wide radius. It embarks on a search for traces of the literary past of the Flachgau community. Dialect poets such as Sylvester Wagner and Franz Stelzhamer lived in Henndorf. The writer Carl Zuckmayer, who lived in the Wiesmühl at home, gathered his friends Ödön von Horváth, Stefan Zweig, Max Reinhardt around him. The Literaturhaus, which was also the birthplace of Johannes Freumbichler, Thomas Bernhard's grandfather, is intended to be an open meeting place.
Here you will find a wide range of Events such as readings with regional and national authors, lectures, film evenings and various workshops.
