Starting from Salzburg, the Birthplace of Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, this leads 450 kilometres long and in total 21 stages The tour is divided into many places where the famous musician and composer stopped on his travels.

Cycling is mainly on cycle paths and low-traffic side roads, most of which are asphalted.

80 kilometres of this route steeped in history lead through the Salzburg Seenland, a gently rolling landscape characterised by meadows and forests and four beautiful lakes: Wallersee, Mattsee, Grabensee and Obertrumer See.

The Seenland route leads from the municipality of Henndorf on the Wallersee, about which the writer Carl Zuckmayer once wrote "Once Lived in Paradise" to Neumarkt am Wallersee, located in the middle of greenery and at the warmest bathing lake in Salzburger Land.

From here the trail continues via Köstendorf and the natural jewel Wenger Moor to Schleedorf with the Power Place Tiefenstein Gorge and from there to Mattsee with its millennia of history.

Finally, it's over to the organic village of Seeham, to Obertrum, where the Sigl private brewery brews Trumer beer in the eighth generation.
